Eligibility Standards
To be eligible for the SSTC at the Mite through Men levels all players must live in the town that they are playing for regardless of where and who the player competes for in the regular season. Players that do not currently live in towns participating in the SSTC are not eligible to participate in the tournament. Players will be allowed to play up a division and not down a division. In addition a player in the men’s 24 to 39 division may not play up a division. Note: Pros must be retired for two years to be eligible for the 40 and older. Currents pros of any age are eligible for the 39 and under.
Town Selection Process
The selection of teams for the SSTC is solely at the discretion of the coach and town Directors. Metro Elite Hockey and South Shore Town Cup play no role in who is selected to play on the teams or the selection procedure. The fee to play in the SSTC is $155.00 per player 4 games guaranteed. Each team will have a max of 20 players and a minimum of 14 players. The coach's roster and tournament fee is due one month before the tournament begins. Players will receive a registration form from the team's coach. This form needs to be submitted for each player and if under 18 years of age signed by a parent or guardian.
Boundaries for Greater Teams
Greater Rockland players must live in Rockland, Abington, Whitman, Hanson, & Brockton
Greater Scituate players must live in Scituate,Norwell & Hull.
Greater Pembroke players must live in Pembroke, Plimpton, Halifax & Kingston.
Greater Plymouth players must live in Plymouth, Carver & Bourne.
Greater Marshfield players must live in Marshfield & Cohasset
Greater Bridgewater players must live in Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, Raynhan, Taunton, Middleboro, Lakeville Dighton, Rohoboth and Berkley
Girls Boundaries
Same as above with consolidations of the following; Hanover & Greater Marshfield, Greater Plymouth & Greater Bridgewater, Weymouth & Braintree, Greater Rockland & Greater Pembroke.
